Intro to Training Day

Learn more about how you can treat your patients suffering with TMD symptoms. Cerezen Training days are run regularly to educate practitioners on the latest in TMD research and findings. Also at these training days you will learn how simple it is to treat TMD patients with Cerezen devices, along with an introduction to the support that is in place to make the journey of becoming a Cerezen prescriber as easy as possible for you and your practice. An outline of the training day agenda is shown below.

11.00 – 11.15 Refreshment break
11.15 – 12.30 An introduction to the Cerezen devices
12.30 – 13.15 Lunch
13.15 – 14.00 Demonstration of Audiology and impressions
14.00 – 14.45 Current evidence relating to use of the Cerezen devices
14.45 – 16.00 Communicating Cerezen to your patients for a profitable practice

CPD Points Awarded

Cerezen training and education helps practitioners to achieve their CPD points, as each participant will be awarded with 5 CPD points once they complete the full day of TMD and Cerezen training.

Depending on which training day you attend, you will hear from a number of specialist practitioners.

Our carefully selected panel have first-hand experience with TMD patients and have enjoyed very successful outcomes using Cerezen devices to treat patients with TMD at their clinics.

Dr. Andrew Lane

A full-time GDP who has always taken a special interest in the management of TMD, headaches and orofacial pain. Andy was co-founder of the British Society for Occlusal Studies in 1985 and has organised, lectured and instructed on courses primarily in the fields of aesthetic dentistry, occlusion and TMD for more years than he cares to admit. He has also carried out published research in the fields of composite and impression materials and techniques. Andy started integrating Cerezen into his practice in early 2016 and this has quickly become an integral part of his management of patients with parafunction problems.

Mr Daniel Saund

Trained at the Royal Shrewsbury, Princess Royal Telford, Queen Elizabeth and Birmingham Dental Hospitals. Dan passed his MFGDP, MFDSRCS, MJDFRCS post-graduate examinations and most recently successfully completed his registrar training to become a Consultant Oral Surgeon. After completing his vocational training, he worked in general dental practice for two years. He subsequently trained at the Royal Shrewsbury, Princess Royal Telford, Queen Elizabeth and Birmingham Dental Hospitals. Among his wide-range of clinical responsibilities, he encounters many patients suffering with Temporomandibular Disorders. He has a keen interest in using the Cerezen device as a simple, conservative and non-invasive technique for successfully managing TMD.

Dr Rob Jagger

A Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Bristol Dental Hospital (United Bristol Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust). He was Reader and Consultant in Restorative Dentistry in Cardiff. He is a past president of the British Society for the Study of Prosthetic Dentistry and the European Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders. A co-author of three books, including ‘Temporomandibular Dysfunction and Occlusion – an evidence based approach and more than ninety articles in refereed journals. He has a long-standing clinical interest in the management of patients with Temporomandibular Disorders (TMDs) and is very interested in the potential of Cerezen as a conservative and non-invasive method of managing TMD.

Dr Barry Oulton

Has run two successful dental practices, was a vocational trainer for five years and has lectured for DMG in Germany, S4S on splint therapy and Septodont on pain and patient management. Dr. Barry J Oulton B.Ch.D DPDS qualified from the University of Leeds in 1993 and obtained his DPDS from Bristol University in 2001. He has completed all levels of occlusion with the Dawson Academy trained with Spear, Kois and most recently in Gneuromuscular dentistry (GNM) in Las Vegas with Occlusal Connections. As the only GNM qualified dentist in the UK and a lecturer on splint therapy, he is uniquely placed to discuss TMD treatments and the exciting addition of Cerezen into his arsenal for his TMD patients. In addition, Barry is a Master NLP Practitioner, Master Hypnotherapist and has recently launched “The Confident Dentist” offering sales and communication training to dentists.
